A fairness commission should be set up for Stoke-on-Trent, a leading blogger in the city has proposed.

Blogging at Pits n Pots, Bill Cawley says that Stoke should follow  the lead of Hull and set up a fairness commission to examine how the cycle of decline in the area over the past 30 years should be tackled.

It follows gloomy prediction for places like Stoke and Hull, which have been losing private sector jobs even before the recession.
